First day in the clinic December 12, 2013
I went to the clinic after school. I knew that they were busy because I saw a lot of patients. My mentor and I didn't get the chance to observe on the patients. Instead of observing, she just gave me six pamphlets. These pamphlets are about gum disease, root canals, dental veneers, and implants. She told me to read these so I could get an idea. So i just sat on the waiting area and read all the pamphlets. Next thursday we will be starting to observe, she told me to bring a coat to wear so I would look like a dentist.

Setting up a schedule December 5, 2013

After school, my dad dropped me off to “Gentle Dental Care”, my mentor’s dental clinic. I was so nervous because I have not met her. When I got to the clinic, I saw a doctor and she was reading a book. I talked to the receptionist and I asked if Dr. Arline Macaraeg was there. It was funny because I did not know that the doctor who was reading a book was Dr. Arline Macaraeg. We began talking about the Capstone Project. I told her that it is a mandatory project for the senior students to graduate. She asked, “Do you want to become a dentist?” then I answered, “Yes, someday”. She is a nice doctor, and because of that my nervousness reduced. I also told her that I have to complete the project with a minimum of 25 hours. She told me that she is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I agreed on her schedule.  So yeah, we are all set. I hope that this is going to work.

Iron Man and Beowulf Similarities

Iron Man and Beowulf are both heroes. Beowulf is a mighty hero who uses knives, swords, and even his bare hands to fight against his enemies. Iron Man, a genius mechanic, is a great hero, too, yet he does not use his strength but the intelligence that he has to build extra ordinary weapons to fight against his enemies. They both have the heart and courage to fight and serve.

Beowulf stands up to protect and fight for Hrothgar’s people. He guards them every night to protect them against Grendel, a big monster. Iron Man also protects the people in America. He is the son of Ho­ward Stark, the founder of Stark Industries. He is the one who has taken over his father’s position to continue Stark Industries, a missiles company.

           

Iron Man shows his concern to the people in America. He has chosen not to make a missile that the terrorist in Afghanistan wanted, for the sake of other people. He has chosen to be tortured rather than creating a missile. This shows his loyalty and concern for the people. He also realizes that using the gadgets or missiles that he makes, affect not only the people in Afghanistan, but also the people in America. So, he sacrifices his company for the safety of people.

Iron Man and Beowulf are true heroes. They both sacrificed their lives. Beowulf sacrificed his life by fighting against Grendel, even if he only had a sword and his own strength. Iron Man shows his sacrifice when he made his robotic suit to fight against the terrorist in Afghanistan. Even if he has been beaten, he still used his own strength and the robotic suit to fight.

Iron Man is the 21^st century version of Beowulf. He stands up on his own to protect the lives of other people. He sacrificed his business and his life for the sake of others. He guards the people, just like Beowulf, against the enemies. He uses his knowledge and strength just like Beowulf. He did not let down the people. He dedicates his life to give the full protection that the people need.

Anakin's fall (Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith)

Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge Of Sith is an American fiction movie, written and directed by George Lucas. This movie is about the Jedi Knight, Anakin Skywalker, who needs to save his clan from the Separatist. Anakin experiences different trials during his adventure. He has a master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, to lead him through his adventure and also the grand master, Yoda, to give them advices.

Jedi knights Obi-Wan and Anakin are called to rescue Emperor Palpatine, the last chancellor of the Old Republic, who is taken away by the leader of the Separatist named General Grievous. They went to the ship, called the Invisible Hand, and rescue the Emperor. When Palpatine is to be released, the assistant of the Emperor, Count Dooku, appeared. The Jedi Knights battled with Count Dooku. Anakin cuts off Count Dooku’s head and wins their battle. Then, they successfully rescue Emperor Palpatine.

When Anakin gets to their ship, he meets up with her secret wife, Padme Amidala. Padme Amidala tells Anakin that she is pregnant. Anakin begins having bad dreams about Padme because he remembers the death of his mother. He is dreaming about Padme dying while giving birth. This makes him turn onto the dark side. He thinks that he could save his wife from dying by becoming an evil.

Anakin builds a good friendship with Emperor Palpatine. As they become close, Emperor Palpatine tells Anakin that he could save his wife Padme from dying. Anakin ended up giving an oath to Emperor Palpatine. He commits himself to be part of the dark side. Anakin believes everything Emperor Palpetine tells him. Obi-Wan notices that Anakin is not in good hands, so he has decided to tell Padme about what Anakin is doing. Padme and Obi-Wan meet up with Anakin. Padme asks Anakin if Obi-Wan is telling the truth. Padme told him that she won't let Anakin make the decisions anymore. Anakin gets mad that he almost killed his own wife.

Obi-Wan tries to convince Anakin to stop him from being a part of the dark side. Anakin doesn’t listen to him. Anakin has changed a lot that he even battles with his own master. Anakin loses his battle with his master Obi-Wan. He gets burned by the lava called Mustafar. The Emperor Palpatine brings Anakin to operating facility. He changes Anakins body to a Darth Vader. When Anakin’s body has been transformed, he discovers that Emperor Palpatine is the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Anakin feels guilty and sorry about everything. He will never be able to bring back the old him and, a happy life with his wife who has died from giving birth to their twin baby.
